Sizes

The collar comes in three sizes. The large is online; feel free to ask Camille whether the other sizes are available too.

• Small: 26 to 36 cm
• Medium: 34 to 49 cm
• Large: 41 to 65 cm

How to choose the size

Measure the circumference of your dog's neck with a tape measure, at the spot where the collar will sit, and not at the base of the head. Then choose the size where that measurement falls in the middle of the range and not at the edge, so that you have some give in both directions. As a rule of thumb, two fingers should fit between the collar and the neck: less is too tight, more is too loose.

If your dog's neck is under 41 cm, a smaller size is the better choice. If it falls right on the border between two sizes, the larger size usually gives the most comfort.

Combining

A collar is the first thing you see when your dog comes in, and so just as much an accessory as a practical item. Choose it to match the coat: on a dark coat a collar stands out more, on a light coat it looks calmer. If you want to look further, among the dog accessories you will also find a dog bed and woollen cushions and throws with a dachshund motif.

Care

Wash this collar by hand only, so not in the washing machine. Use lukewarm water with a little mild soap, rinse well and leave it to dry flat, clear of the radiator and out of full sun. Check now and then that the strap and the fastening are still secure, especially with a dog that likes to pull.
