Where it belongs

Cheers is about being together, so it fits best in the space where people gather: a dining room, a kitchen-diner or a seating area where you have a drink with friends. Above a sideboard or a dresser with glasses and carafes, the subject gets a logical place at once.

How to hang it

Hang the middle of the painting at about 150 cm above the floor. Above a piece of furniture, keep 20 to 25 cm between the top of the cabinet and the bottom edge of the frame, so that the painting belongs with the furniture instead of floating loose above it. With a width of 105 cm, it is best to leave some empty wall on both sides, so that it can breathe.

Combining

The natural wooden frame feels at home with oak, walnut or lightly stained wood, and with linen, reed and ceramics. Against a white, off-white or warm wall, the relief shows well. If you want more than one work on the wall, choose pieces in a similar frame, so that the whole stays calm.

Care

Dusting with a dry, soft cloth is enough. Do not use water or cleaning product on the image. Do not hang it in the direct steam of a hob, because grease settles in the relief, and avoid long periods of strong sunlight, which makes colours fade over time.
