Drinks cabinet Shanil in recycled railway wood with metal base

Drinks cabinet Shanil is made of recycled wood that had a previous life: old railway tracks. That gives the cabinet an authentic look with character. The warm wood stands on a slim metal base, and behind the round doors there is storage space for your drinks and glasses.

Material and finish

Recycled railway wood on a robust metal base with an industrial touch. The contrast between the warm wood and the slim metal is what carries this piece: it looks robust without becoming heavy. Because the wood is recycled, every cabinet has its own character.

Dimensions

• Height 160 cm
• Length 105 cm
• Width 38 cm

What fits in it

Behind the round doors there is room for bottles, glasses and accessories, handy for cosy evenings at home. With a width of 38 cm, the cabinet is not deep, so it can stand against a wall without narrowing the passage. That makes it usable in a dining room, but also in a wide hall.

Where it stands

The cabinet suits modern, country and industrial interiors. Against a long wall in the living space, it works as a vertical accent between lower pieces of furniture. In a dining room it stands next to the table, within reach.

Care

Dust with a dry cloth. Recycled wood stays alive: small cracks and differences in colour belong to the material and are not a fault. Avoid standing moisture on the wood. Wipe the metal base with a slightly damp cloth.

Delivery and collection

We deliver large furniture anywhere in Belgium for ± 75 euros (an indicative price; Camille confirms the exact price). Collection from the shop in Koksijde is free.

How it ages

This wood has already grown old once before it ended up here. Railway tracks lie outside for years, and that character is kept in the furniture. If you are looking for a sleek and even piece of furniture, you are better off looking further. If you want a cabinet to have a past, you will find it here.
